| Still learning, Complete program ????'s
I know I ask this before "kinda" . Let me refrase it, How are most programs wrote? I mean what language???? Say wheel of fortune or star wars ect. ect. Are these programs done in c or c++ ???? I know when I compile a program it creates a .exe file. How do I run that .exe file from windows? Say from an icon on my dest top. Does that make better sense???? |

If you can locate the .exe file with windows explorer, just click on it to run it. also, you can right click to create a shorcut that you can drag to your desktop. |

C++ is (for most part) the industry standard for programming games. Other applications may use a variety of languages (Java, VisualBasic, C, C#, Delphi, etc.).
To run the EXE that you've created all you need to do is double click it and it'll be running in Windows. To create an icon (shortcut) to put on the desktop, right click the EXE, select 'Create Shortcut'. You now have a shortcut that you place almost anywhere (desktop, start menu, etc.) and rename it to almost anything. Now you just double click the shortcut and it'll run the EXE.

Thanks for the qwick replys...... I tried it and it works great. I really should have known that. Thanks again. The problem I was having was if I hit the [X] in the top right corner, it told me to use exit or quit in dos. I tried another program that had exit built in and it worked great. Right back to windows I went..... |
