I am a member of phpbb.com and have posted some questions there, however it take some time for them to answered, so i would like to post the questions here too and see if any timo phpbb gurus can help out.
Question 1:
How would you guys go about upgrading from phpbb 2.0.4 to 2.0.14 taking into account the following:
A forum with 22 mods (i dont mind remodding)
17,000 posts (dont want to lose these!)
No shell access to the server (webhost)
16 members (dont want to lose these either )
I would appreciate a step by step explanation (if you have the time, it would be much appreciated)
Question 2
Is it possible, to install phpbb 2.0.14 in a new location, but point it to the existing mysql db files and data, and that way keep members and posts from the older installation?
