Yea i already noticed Opera is better than FF. But it really bothers me to see those little tiny ads. Only if....those ads were gone....or to get a free version somewhere =D

love Opera
And its worth it to pay for it IMO.
This only includes HTML standards.. this doesn't even include functionality
To get to Opera's functionality it requires a ton of Plugins for Firefox.
AND as noted above, Opera is still a smaller install, and very fast

If Opera's CEO swims across the Atlantic successfully, I may just try Opera
Firefox fan all the way...at least for now. |

i appologize if i was wrong about Opera being bloated. I thought at one time it had gotten pretty big. Maybe i am confusing it with Netscape?
I just like FF better than Opera. I must say that i have not used Opera in a couple of years though. When it goes 100% free, no ads, i will try it again.

What does the chart actually tell? That ie doesn't support any standards and opera does.
What do we do with that information? Nothing.
As long as webpages continue to display close-to-what-should there's no reason to switch to higher standard-support browser (for the sole reason it supports standards better).
I'm not a webdesigner so I don't know how much trouble it causes that some browsers support something and some others don't. I just surf happily |

That chart is useless. I use FireFox and it's the best thing since Ice Cream. It speeds up sites, its easy to use and quick to download. I had Opera and it was slow and almost confusing. It also has ads which is a major downslide. IE doesn't ned to be mentioned. It stinks! |

I've done a pretty large amount of web development recently and I can say that the chart doesn't even tell the whole story. I've found that IE generally takes scripting and CSS more as guidelines than as actual fact...it does it if it feels like it. For example...I often use code that would load the home page of my site to cancel some operation on load (basically when conditions would prevent that page from being viewable)...half the time it decides to load the home page after it's done some other stuff...not when the execution reaches said line of code. It's kinda finicky with CSS as well.
It's better to show than to describe, so view this page in both IE and FF/Opera/NN.
BTW, i prefer firefox because i prefer it's interface. nothing to do with the adds, i just prefer the nature of firefox.

HMM are we looking at the same chart?? It looked to me like FF out scored opera on most of the charts
I haven't used opera in ages but IMO FF has a more user friendly interface, cleaner looks and has more functionality.
