| A suggestion to the world
Ok, so we have HTML code for links that pops whatever you click on in a new window once you hit it right?
Now, tons of people are using Firefox/Opera/Avant etc that all have tabs. What I want to see is an addition to the HTML code table and updates to all the browsers to have code that will open a new tab in that current browser window instead of a whole new window.
Not sure why I'm posting this, but I figured I'd get it out into the open and maybe my little wee voice could be heard, and I could make a difference in the world. Or not. |

Both Opera and Firefox do that for me without any intervention. |

But what if you want to craft a webpage with two links: One that opens in a new window, and another that opens in a new tab?
See, you can have all or nothing based on your preferences, I'm talking about giving the webmaster more control. |

I would prefer that I have this control, not the webmaster. |

I agree as well, I do not want html code dictating how I view pages. I've always hated sites that do things to control my browser like going full screen or popping up a bunch of windows. I have Firefox set to open every link in a tab - so even if there was an html tag, it wouldn't work - much like a pop-up blocker. |
