would that matter?
it's a personal thing for my clan in Half-Life and its mods but i put every dying last moment into thinking of how to make it better, just yesterday i spend like $60 on an image creating/editting program.
just think of it as something of top priority. |

i asked because from my limited html expierience single pages to small sites are fine with notepad but if you get into multiple pages and files with flash on a large site, a program such as dreamweaver or frontpage works well. but when i say limited i mean limited expierience, maybe youll get some advice from a guru or master.
puttin in my half a penny. |

I chose number one.. learning to code by hand first gives u the understanding of the functions of web pages... it also lets you keep your code clean.. clean means fast leading.. if at a later date you want to use soemthing like Dreamweaver.. u then will understand how it all works.. and how to fix things by hands that the programs mess up.

the parts i don't know much about are CSS, the background settings (how the heck am i supposed to know what #FFFFFF is supposed to mean???) and changing font settings.
as a side note i can't make my own perl or PHP |

I use MS Front Page for the majority of HTML work, then go back and hand code any JavaScript, Perl, PHP, CGI, etc. that may be needed. Not that I couldn't just write the HTML in notepad, but what's the point for most pages at smaller sites? Clicking "insert hyperlink" seems easier for me than typing out HREF plus all associated command directives and conventions.
