| The forum is up for testing.
Here it is: Beta Release 0.2 The forum I've been working on....
All old accounts have been removed.
If you register: use passwords you don't normally use, since the site is not secure yet.
A work in progress. All according to The Plan. |

good job. I take it it's all done in asp. (since it's hosted on Brinkster)
Anyway, I registered, but it just gave me a page not found. So, I backed out and tried registering again. and got this error...
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e14'
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] The changes you requested to the table were not successful because they would create duplicate values in the index, primary key, or relationship. Change the data in the field or fields that contain duplicate data, remove the index, or redefine the index to permit duplicate entries and try again.
/thadopepope/functions.asp, line 132
So, apparently it had registered me, but got a page not found(not an uncommon experience at brinkster, I've found) But, looks like you need to catch this error of trying to add the same user name.
otherwise great job. I've been thinking of writing my own simple forum in PHP, but I know that it is a big project.

Clicked link, clicked register, filled out form for: http://www13.brinkster.com/thadopepope/regusr.asp
Got:
HTTP 404 - File not found
Tried again and got:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e14'
So you actually created my account the first time. went back to homepage and could login.
Er,ah,er.. needs some work... |

Good start but I might suggest to you Snitz forums for an ASP based forum that is very feature rich.

Oh well...the not found errors is not my fault. It's &¤&"/¤!"Brinksters. But what can I do? They have free asp hosting without any ads or popups.
Yes it still needs work.
I'm a newbie. I had never written a line of asp before January. |

Nice work so far AE. Simple but straight forward. Exactly the way it should be.
