what the easiest or best way to make a photo server i don't have Linux and dont seem to be free any more any idea's |

What do you mean by "photo server?" Do you mean a place where you can put your photos so other people on the internet can view them? Or do you mean a place where other people can put their pictures and share them with the world? Do you want it hosted locally on a home PC or remotely on a private, paid hosting server like olm.net or liquidweb.com? We need a lot more information on what you want to do before we can help.

Well there are a couple of options for you on that, you can sign up with yahoo and they allow you to make free photo albums and you can also get free or paid web space upload them and post them on your index page.

wasn't it the same as normal web hosting?

actually this is for my atv riding club photos cabn i take a regular computer and do this everyone keeps saying linux , what about windows xp can;t it do the same . |

any ideas runing it in windows xp is that possible .
ok hears the full picture our picture host died . so we have the complete computer and hard drive with linux , and all the pictures still on it what do I need to do to put it back in operation. |

load linux with apache webserver
or you can use xp with apache, but xp cannot read linux partitions http://www.apache.org/ |
