C++ and Screen Savers Question

Hello. I want to make my own screensaver but I dont know any c++. I know there are programs out there that you can make your own screen savers but I want to code it myself, but that is the problem. About how hard would it be to learn enough c++ to make my own screensaver? I know a lot of Qbasic and a little visual basic if that will help but im told that object oriented languages like c++ are a lot different.

That's a cool idea. I have no idea how to do it. You could easily make a program that serves the same purpose in VB. Create a program that displays the images you want, loop it, and have the loop break when you press say, the 'esc' key. Drag the shortcut for the program into your taskbar, but you'd have to start it manually when you left the computer. There's shareware programs to make your own screensaver, but they cost a pretty penny.
