Where can I go to learn how to incorporate a shopping cart into my web site?
Is it hard and if I can get around it and do something other than that do you recommend it?
Thanks,
Naz |

With shopping carts.. stay away from CGI carts.. I have heard that they are very vulnerable security-wise...
I have heard that Perl and ColdFusion carts are good.. But I do not know of any sites that teach you how to make them.. Try a Google search!

Did you want to make your own cart, or use a site that provides one for you? This one uses SSL, but I don't know if it's what you're looking for. BizHosting.com |

Glad you liked it Naz. I hope your business venture is a total success. Post a link when your store opens. I do most of my shopping on line. |

I'm no web expert, all I really know is HTML. If I see something I like I'll view source and figure out how something is done then put it on my site or save it for later. Anyway what is PHP?
Thanks,

PHP stands for Hypertext PreProcessor...
Basically you can use php to build your web page. Lets say you have 300 non framed pages on your site.. If you use PHP for the LOGO you make a minor change to the PHP file that creates the HTML for the logo and all the pages would now have the new logo.

cgi can be used with any language - perl, c, etc although perl is used frequently. |
