website - exchanging data

hi
just learning to write a website and am stuck on how to exchange data.

eg. i want a user to be able to post comments and for the website to be able to display those comments.

also like a user to be able to log in and the site to display the users saved information.

am currently using flash with action script code to display stuff, have manged to get flash to display information from saved text file, but thats as far as i have got and am getting frustrated not having the right information at hand.

i have dreamweaver, and guess you can use that too (but dont yet know how)

any help would be appreciated and as simple as possible (am a noob and pushed for time)
dont have a server set up yet if that makes a difference.

i would suggest a common Language like .PHP because that makes it really easy


u have a form that contains information - HTML
u use the post method to call a .PHP file and in that u process the information into an SQL database. that is merely how i would do it, as for the login and stuff .PHP has some great Session functions that are easy to use.
