I don't know what everyone says about GoDaddy, their hosting is GREAT fror personal sites!

I run an IPB Board, and I like more control over my webhosting, so I would chose a Web host that has CPanel

EXreaction...

I'm sorry to inform you, but your link to www.gotechzilla.com doesn't work (at least for me). Bad timing in a thread about the host.

hah.

http://1and1.com

They have pretty good rates and seem to be well established. They have like 8 page ads in PC world.

While it's hit and miss, www.dreamhost.com brings back their 777 deal every once in a while. $9.24 for an entire year of hosting(4800MB and 120GB of perpetual increasing space/bandwidth) and a domain name ain't bad. Plus they have a very nice CP for management. If you don't need something permanent then that is a great way to go.

thank you all for the replies and suggestions. I think i may just stay with godaddy since the $4 deal seems so good. I can always change, and since it is a personal site, 99.999% up time is not really needed.

Thanks again.

Personal sites? A pro site could use this too. Wait. No cPanel? That sucks. but the bandwidth and space provided... INCREDIBLe

And I think GoDaddy does have 99.99% uptime.
