I have my domain registered at godaddy.com. I was on their site today and i can get webhosting for $4 a month. That gets me some 5GB of web space and 250GB of transfer per month. Seems like a good deal to me.
Anyone have a site hosted by godaddy? Do they have a good reputation?
thanks for any help.
PS. I do remeber their superbowl adds from last year. The brunette with the small shirt that said godaddy.com right across the front.

GoDaddy rules as a domain registrar, but I'm really, really not a fan of their hosting. |

What kind of site are you planning - personal, business, charity, etc.? My dial-up ISP gives me 100MB of space for my personal web site and it's included in my $10/mo. ISP charge.
re. GoDaddy: The few things I've seen about GoDaddy were negative - ethics related iirc.

It is going to be a personal site. I already have my own domain registered with godaddy.
Thank you for the replies. |

Your godaddy domain name can point to any location for the actual site files.

We have godaddy hosting for our website( www.gotechzilla.com), and so far they have been great! But where do you see $4 a month for 5gb of space, and 250gb of transfer?
EDIT: Nvm, godaddy upgraded the plans.

That's crazy... 250GB and 5Gb bandwidth for JUST $4... ooohhh, me check out. I'm on free hosting right now and I burn through 5GB in half a month... but the 100mb or 90mb whichever is quite enough for me, I only use 30MB and that's because I have 2 files on there, so really, I only use 5-10MB or so. |
