| How can I add a movie to website?
I have no idea how to do this, but I would like to add a 2 minute movie to a website. I have a DVD that contains the .BUP, .VOB, and .IFO files. Unfortunately, I am not able to open and/or view any of these files, but I do know the movie exists. So, how do I go about adding this movie to a website? I would like the movie to be viewed within an existing page of the website - visable at the upper left corner. I am virtually clueless with this. Any good tutorials you can recommend? Thank you! |

you have to convert it into some other format (such as mpeg or some other common format). That's up to your preferences. Then, you use the embed tags to add that video to your webpage. |

I converted the .vob file to .mpg. I think the file sizes are too large, though. Just uploading the files to my host server will take a long time - don't want to exceed my limit. I think I can convert the .vob file to .swf simply by saving as .swf extension, but I cannot view the file. Any siggestions? Thank you |

first off, use a program to convert the VOB files into something like AVI file which is a lot better to use and manage. AUTO GK is a brill program for that, it'll grab the VOB files and convert them into an AVI file for you with compression so it'll be a much smaller file size by about 80%. From there you can upload the video to your website.
Saving as a SWF doesn't do anything unless you actually use Flash. |
