Ok, I posted this on a few sites...and found out that they don't allow you to post it on the main phpBB sites because so many people make modded installs, and don't help anyone using them...they just do a bunch of half arse modding, and throw it up for people to try...
Well, I decided to make a modded install myself...and I am installing, and testing every single mod...after every build I try to find any bug I can before I release it...and if anyone needs help with it, I would be glad to help them!
Anyways, I have been going through, and installing a bunch of useful mods by hand, and this is what I have added so far...I believe I installed around 28 of them: Additions
And this is the download package: Modded phpBB
Just download it, and install it like any other phpBB install...and it will have all those mods preinstalled on it.
And, the current version is 1.3.0(probably the final version), which was started on phpBB 2.0.18 which can be downloaded here.
Now, the only problem with it at the moment is that it will not install on anything but MySQL...because I have not changed the files for the other database types...but if you are really serious about using this, and you can't use MySQL, I can change one of the others to fit your needs.
And the one known bug is the emailer.php bug...but that has nothing at all to do with my install, if you get an error from it(you get the error with the modded install, or the original), it is because your host disabled email on you...
Could I get this stickied? I know it isn't huge, but nobody will find it if they are looking for it otherwise...
The other templates that have been added, and do work are subBlack, and subSky. I also have a tutorial on how to add custom ones and get them to work with the package.

Hey, glad someone finally noticed me!
No, if you install over your existing one(you should backup everything first), you won't lose any of your posts(or members)...as long as you do it the right way...I have done it 3 times already without any problems.
Well, if you want to install it over something you have already, you will lose all your current mods... |

Okay... next question, do you have detailed instructions on how to do this? For noobs like me? And do you have an example of what it would look like after the install? |

Ya, I have pretty good instructions...you can read the stuff below...and I can help you if you want to do it...
Well, I just finished uploading my modded install on www.gotechzilla.com, so you can see what we did there...if you want to see the new admin CP(I added a lot!), we could work something out on a test site of mine. |

Sorry for all the questions. But here is another...
I want to install MX-System, should I do it before or after I install your MOD(s)... or dose it matter? |
