hey,
I've been wanting to learn a programming language for some time now that can eventually be applied to making games...
at first i learned a little bit about Java (stuff about variables, types, etc) but then after seeing many discussions about how C++ is better, faster and more widespread i learned a bit of the basic stuff of that however some people said that its better to start on an easier language first and then progress onto C++/C.
So instead I am now learning python, it seems easier but is it a good first programming language?
please tell me if you think it is or if theres an even better solution (I'd rather not have to spend money getting visual basic), I like making programs other than games aswell. And if anyone knows roughly how long it takes to be able to game program with python or the language u mention (which im guessing requires mastering it).
I am aware of other neeeded things for games such as 3d modelers and game engines.
If you could help me that'd be gReAt!
