checking out www.amazon.com thinking of buying a book on Active Perl then i think, will it go out of style any time soon?

seriously is Perl gonna be basically the same now as it will be in a few years? i don't wanna blow 50 bucks on a book for nothing

I think perl will be around for ages to come, it has been around in basicaly the same form for like 10 years now.
