| eBay Question - What am I missing here???
Please forgive if this is posted in the wrong place.
I didn't really see anywhere else to post this question.
I'm proficient in HTML coding, and I'm trying to sell something on eBay.
So, I figured I would make a nice looking setup that looks professional using some HTML.
Problem is, I can't see how to post HTML coding in my eBay ad!
I contacted their support, and the guy emailed me with the standard "click the HTML radio button, and if that doesn't work, clear your cache and cookies and start all over"
Well, I tried that and still can't get their system to accept my HTML in the ad I'm trying to post.
I've done it before, so I know it can be done not to mention there are tons of ads on eBay using HTML.
Here's the HTML radio button I've been clicking:
But, everytime it keeps saying I didn't put anything in the description section.
If I put in plain text, it accepts it with no problem.
I know I've got to be missing somthing simple here.
Any ideas you fellas could bounce off of me would be appreciated.
Thanks! |

What browser are you using? My wife was doing some eBay stuff and all of the sudden couldn't use IE anymore. No idea why it quit working, it just did. She did it with Firefox and it worked fine.
You try the same thing?

Well, that's a good idea that I should have thought of...and I just tried it in Firefox....and still the same thing.
This is tripping me out, big time!
I sold a VHS concert video about 3 or 4 months ago and had no problem getting my code in the listing. |

I'm not too familiar with eBay, but what happens if you tick the "HTML Mode" box and post no text? Or just leave the default that's in there. Can you save that then go back and edit it? |

I've tried it both ways...
I can put plain text in, but going back to try and put code in later does the same thing. It's like it doesn't recognize it.
I may have to go back to their support and tell them everything I'm doing and let them tell me whassup. |

I wonder why mine looks different...
Mine doesn't have the "Enter Your Own HTML" button.
Are you a standard member of eBay, or did you guys signup to be a Power Seller?
If you did, maybe that's why it's different.
Maybe this is one of the perks that Power Seller's get. |

I'm using IE6 also, and I've tried it in Firefox too. Quote: |
