| Transferring Site/Files FTP to FTP, need a program
Whats a good program for this? I need to transfer my site from one hosting company to another. |

FileZilla...
You will also need to make sure you backup the database and transfer it.
And when you do the transfers to a forum you have to update the cookie settings and settings in config.php to use the new database host and settings.  |

You will need to do exactly what he said, make a backup of the database, move it, then restore into the new database.
There are more steps and things you need to do depending on which DB you are using. Google it.

how transfer with filezilla? i was trying earlier to do it before comeing here to search. i couldn't get it to connect to two different ftp sites. thanks.

Old hosting company to your PC, then upload to new hosting company. I'm doing it now with my sites. Going from Hostony to Godaddy.

i was hoping to skip my computer and transfer from ftp to ftp. i found another program that would connect to both, but it kept giving me errors. i'm downloading everything now...will upload tomorrow. |
