Need Help in C programming!

Hey guys..

I have got a homework and it says the following:

Write a C program in which you read in one 3x3 array A and then multiply that array by a letter "a"

I tried doing that but I have difficulty multiplying a character by a letter!

Any Help would definitely be appreciated!

Basic Algebra there.

Read array element...say it's a "7"; probably would want to make it a string variable (hint).

So, back to Algebra, what is 7 times a? Hmmm...7*a is equivalent to 7a.

This assuming that is what is called for in the assignment and not that the prof wants you to use decimal equivalent of an ASCII character.

or you might want to be doing it mod 26 type of thing...like a crypt...or cipher what's some example input and output? we need to understand the problem cus that...i don't think...makes any sense... sorry.
