adding a simple video file to a webpage

I am trying to add a 18mb avi video file to a website. I have included a link to the file. When you click on the link it opens up Windows Media player but it just hangs there. I can test the site locally and it works fine. Any ideas?

its probably trying to buffer.. try right clicking on the link to the video and choosing "save target as" if that works I would say tell your visitors to choose that option
