Best Easiest Webpage Design Software

Quick question: What is the best and easiest webpage design software out there? It also should not cost an arm and a leg?

Not the cheapest, and also not the easiest. I bought it for my wife a few years ago...I think I paid over $500. Anymore suggestions???

A quick forum search will turn up several ideas html kit being one NVu is another. Seamonkey had a built in editor, I never used it but it was an option.

Using a Dreamweaver trial just to build the site is always fine if you don't want to pay for it you don't have to. Just build the page you want and you edit it later with whatever you choose.

I use Notepad for most my stuff or frontpage when I'm really lazy or don't feel like looking up some of the code I've forgotten.

aldtech - I run a web development company, and we use dreamweaver for our straight HTML work, as well as for setting up tables for the layout and for quick modifications - we use other software for other tasks - point is it really, really depends on what you are trying to accomplish.
RicheemxX's suggestion is a great one if you are just going to build a quick site, or edit some pages - just use the trial.

If you give me some details about what you are trying to accomplish, I'll try to offer some more assistance.
