Where to park Domain name?

I am trying to build a website for my nephew's catering business. We have a domain name at 1&1. I am thinking about using Hostmaster as the web server for the website. Should we leave the domain name at 1&1 and pay them or should we transfer it to Hostmaster? The fees on the domain are due by May
28th.

No real reason to change unless the fees are way too high. 1&1 probaly uses a third party anyway. Sometimes cheap domain name registrars charge a transfer fee that offsets the savings the first year or two. 1&1 is a good hosting company, why not use them.

BTW What is your link to hostmaster. From what I see at 'hostmaster dot com' it is only a clearinghouse or a search page not an actual company.

Evereddie,
Thanks for the reply. I made a mistake on hostmaster--I meant to put Hostmonster. Do you or anyone else know anything about hostmonster?
Thanks again
