Code For Creating Something Like Old Movie Credits With ......

I would like to create a page featuring a list similar to what old film credits look like, along these lines:

John Bourke......................Sam
Melissa Gilbert.................Horse
Oliver Mellon....................Hugh

Does anyone have any idea on how this or something similar might be done without having to write all the dots yourself which I don't think would work as the dots wouldn't make it all align at times.

I'm quite inexperienced with web design so I'm not sure. The only idea I can think of is some sort of repeating background with the dots, which either ends when you write the name or cannot be seen behind the name because you assign a background colour. I'm sure there's a smarter way for it to be done...
