Hi,
As some of you might know, I have been playing with some (W2k3) swervers over the last year or so, and I've had a request to run/host a site on one on behalf of some golfists.
I know some of the basics, like forwarding port :80 to the server that will be hosting the site, and to register the domain name and get a host record point the domain name to my WAN IP (although I'm not too sure who I need to get the host record sorted by...!).
What I don't know is how to set it up as requested. Basically this is what I need to sort out:
There will be some (basic) data/details that can be viewed on the home-page, basic details and the postmaster contact details for example. There should also be a "Members" area that is login-secured, which will have contact details and photos of the members, a photo gallery, a calendar of upcoming events, etc...
I'd also like to know how this could affect my current settings, as I already have a "companyweb" (SBS) page, which uses port :80, and I'd like to still be able to use this, so how would I be able to configure my network so as to differentiate between the two - or more should I get the hang of it...
Any help/advice/assistance gladly accepted...
