Cocoa for OS X - Objective C

I'm learning Cocoa for OS X, using Objective C rather than the Java option. I'm just learning, but I need to know if there is a way I can use this to "automate" some printing. I know I can use Applescipt, but would like a more interactive menu so you can choose what you are printing out......
Any ideas, help you can offer?

Hrm, think that I can call applescripts to do my dirty work from Cocoa.

this might not be the best place to ask. check out this forum instead, which is a pure mac os x forum. they probably have some more people who can help you with the programming aspects of cocoa.
