Web Page Development Freeware

I need a freeware web development software for a English project I am writing. This project is a one time thing just to show a web page of the paper we are writing.

If all it is is a basic page with no bells and whistles just like a term paper then why not just code it using notepad? Heck for one time use just d/l the trial of dreamweaver Adobe - Dreamweaver CS3, Web Site Design, Web Page Design, Web Design Software or for a truly free editor use notepad++ .:: NOTEPAD++ ::.

For a basic text document, Abiword or OpenOffice.org Writer can export to HTML.

If you want a little more layout control and more HTML features, then KompoZer might suffice.

After emailing the teacher she gave some more detail. Her suggestion was to use word and save as .htm. This is more basic that I originally thought. If time allows I will use one of the suggested programs a make web page.

It's sad, but I actually never thought of using Word to write an HTML file... then again, I've never used anything but Notepad... so I guess it really doesn't matter.
