    PHP Session Help

    Hey guys,

I can't seem to get my PHP sessions to stay alive longer than 5 mins of inactivity.

    I have set

    session.gc_maxlifetime 86400
    session.cookie_lifetime 86400
session.name FILEITHERE (i do this as test, still doens't work).

    Any ideas ??

If you set gc_maxlifetime to 0 it stays open untill the browser is closed.
Try than and commenting out the cookie_lifetime just for debugging purposes.

yeah i fixed this problem by changing the directory where the session is stored. Might have to run a cron to chefck that it does get deleted
