just wondering if anyone here knows how to make links (windows *.lnk) files work on an IIS 5.1 FTP Server...
i have 3 Hard Drives and i wanna link them all on the FTP, but i dont know how to get the *.lnk files to work as Virtual Dir's...
is there anyway to do it? or if not how do i link more than 1 drive to my FTP?
Don't think you can setup virtual dir's like that, like you can in *nix.
You can setup different directories to be in the ftp root though I do believe...
I don't have an IIS box around to check for sure, butyou should be able to setup different 'virtual roots' for the ftp server through the IIS interface.
SHould be able to right click the server and say new virtual root or something of that nature
Then go to the properties and change the folder.

Unfortunately, you're out of luck. If you are using win2k server, there is a feature called the distributed file system that allows you to do that, but the pro versions of win2k and XP don't support it.
