    DNS settings for domain name

     
    I recently purchased a domain name from domains.com. I go to dns settings in my control panel and set the IP of the hosting site that I'm using in the IP address/ A section. Is that all I have to do or is there more? And if that's all how long am I looking at for the site to be up with the new url?
