| Frontpage extensions with IIS ?
I install the FPSE 2002 and it says it installs fine, when I goto insert a web component in my web in Frontpage XP, It says i need to install FPSE, whats wrong here?

Have you actually gone into your webs on the server and actually upgraded the webs (the actual sites) to the 2002 extenstions ?
You need to do this for each site on the server.
I found it easiest to do this via the admin web interface for me (I only enabled it during this process and then shutdown the admin interface when done)

Yes, i did that both inside the IIS manager and inside the Admin web interface. Both look like they work, but when using Frontpage, it says I don't have the extensions installed.
This is what I get when i click on a form or such :
FrontPage Run-Time Component Page
You have submitted a form or followed a link to a page that requires a web server and the FrontPage Server Extensions to function properly.
This form or other FrontPage component will work correctly if you publish this web to a web server that has the FrontPage Server Extensions installed.
Click the <Back> arrow to return to the previous page.

Hmmmm From within the MMC for IIS have you had it "verify and recalcuate" the webs? | |

Yes, right at this second, i have just Frontpage 2000 extensions installed not 2002, thinknig that might be the problem, but I have recalculated and verified and all and still doesn't work.
Is there a setting inside Frontpage XP that I need to enable to tell it to use the extensions or see them? | |

Reinstall the 2002 server extenstions on the server.... btw what version of IIS and windows are you running on? | |

I am running windows 2000 server, and whatever version of IIS that comes with it..
I have uninstalled and reinstalled FPSE about 5 times now thinknig that was it....but i don't think it is. | |
