web-based resellers --- powersource ??
I am going to be developing a web-site to sell various products (computer related). I know the business side more than the web side, though I am learning. How can I find out about web-based resellers? I know they are hard to find because they don?t advertise to the public.
Also, there is a site by the name of ---- powersource --- but I don?t know the url and cant find this place. This site is like a pricewatch.com for resellers. Have you heard of this and do you have any advice for me. I have a great but slow full time job so im looking to get something started on the side that would keep life interesting, myself interested and --- hopefully make a few bucks.
Thanks for any help

I use Vstore on my website. They handle all the inventory and shipping, and all you do is set up the store and link it to your webpage.
See mine here: http://www.taloncomputers.com
or go to thier main site at: http://www.vstore.com
Oh, and it's free to set up. They pay commissions based on the retail per item....

Wow
Thats different from the Power Source where they actually charge you a fee??
I will check out vstore but could you give me more feedback on their services. For instance, are they the supplier or are there hundreds of suppliers where they just set up an auction type atmosphere? Power source has this competitive atmosphere like pricewatch.com where suppliers prices are listed and you pick the cheapest price!
Thanks for the lead!!

Vstore handles the supply and warehousing of everything. The only downside that I have dealt with is the limited product supply. They don't sell motherboards, and the only harddrive I've seen is some no name that they want a lot of money for. Since it's free, open up a store, and look around thier inventory. If you don't like it, you can just close the store.
P.S. I don't get spammed by them either if that helps with the signup for you.

Thanks so far for the help
MrEd, have they paid you so far? Probably, since it looks like you have been up and running for awhile. But i ask because i have a friend who got into one of these things and he has not gotten paid yet. Pretty wierd. Your site looks great though

Well, that's another story..... I have been up and running for a few months, but I havn't made enough sales to justify a check from them. Thier policy is "If your commission is under 25 dollars, they hold your money until you surpass the 25 dollar limit". In other words, I havn't sold enough for a commission check to be sent yet.
