Yahoo Stores question

For anyone that has worked on or with a yahoo store. Do they handle the credit card purchases or do you need a separate company such as your web site hoster (by the way ar there any recommendations for hosting and credit card services?) to take care of this.

Im going to open up an e-store soon and will probably have a yahoo store as well, im wondering how to fit them together?

Thanks for any tips and I would appreciate any other yahoo store advice as well.

Yahoo does card processing.
I don't know if you need both.. Yahoo is expensive as those things go, and doesn't really add anything AFAIC.
Do some google searches on Merchant sites or Merchant Cards.
There are tons of places you can build a site and they do the CC processing. If you choose to get your own CC processing. Search, Search, Search! There are decent deals and big time ripoffs. Avoid any "software leases"! That's the biggest ripoff.

thanks computerBabe!
Do you have any recommendations for CC processing and hosting. I have worked with E-merchant and they seem good. About 50.00 a month for everything.

Did you feel that the yahoo stores were not worth the price. I think they are about 50.00 + a percentage of sales?

Thanks

I think you can just link your site to the yahoo site so your end traffic goes there. Does that sound right???

You also can also have your separate front page for the yahoo store.

Merchant Account

HI,

You can try 2checkout.com for the merchant account they accpet almost all credits cards, and a one time setup fee 49.00US, and $0.45 for every transaction and 5.5% of the transaction amount thier offers are pretty good, or you can even get a free merchant account at http://www.hostcharge.com, they claim to be the cheapest, i haven't used hostcharge so i have no idea of thier services,

Check out charge.com. Keep in mind that you need a good credit history to open an account with any credit card merchant. The first time I set up an account it was hell because I didn't have any credit history.
