Question
tables

I have been trying for ages to make the background of a table embedded in a web page semi-transparent - is it possible? and if so how? any help will be appreciated

I havnt tried it, but in theory you should be able to use a .gif image with tranparecny as a backround image

Yes, in photoshop, you can turn down the opacity to the level you like. This will make it translucent. Then saveit as a GIF and import it into your HTML.

thanx guys - have been trying that very thing - but when i lod it as the table background - it just gives the background a washed-out effect - with no transparency - cant see what I'm doing wrong =/

if your using photoshop you should be able to save it as a png file...
