Preventing search engines from indexing images
Hey all. I have decided to make a photo album using jAlbum and put it on a webserver hosted through godaddy so that my extended family can view the pics. The photo album folder is password protected using .htaccess, but I want to make sure that search engines don't index any of the images. What do I need to do to stop search engines from indexing the contents?

Using meta tags to block access to your site - Webmaster Tools Help
you add the noindex attribute to the page the album is on and any corresponding pages, however unless you specifically post them to pages that are crawled and submit those pages to be crawled there shouldn't be a reason for Google to index them. They don't tend to grabs sites and images "just because". They'd have to know they are there.Last edited by RicheemxX; May 24th, 2012 at 03:51 AM.

One of my favorite authors, Vince Flynn, (who also happens to be a local guy) passed away from prostate cancer at 47. Good writer whose stories will be missed!
