PHP under M$

Apparently I am very very dumb. I have tried and tried and I cant get php to work in windows. What must one do to get XP to recognize the .php extension?

please, name the other websites...

and, once again, thank you for the popups!

You need to configure your WEB server to see incoming requests for the proper 'App'...

nice link mntsnow! cheeers!

btw, you running the cgi version (php.exe) or isapi filter (php4isapi.dll)??

I've heard/read that the isapi is supposed to be a bit quicker, but I haven't noticed much difference, although, I've never done a side-by-side or timed comparison of the two methods. isapi is also supposed to be less tested and not recommended for commercial use yet (last that I heard/read), but I had to try it!!

ciao!!

You basically need to run it as localhost (your site to test with)

I run the isapi version. Works very smoothly for me

Qball whats the matter? (I see no pop-ups" so kiss my ....) or complain to About.com and not blame me for your inablility to configure your browser to prevent ads...

No, complain to you!

why does your website(s) serve ads? ads, server side, not browser...

Now, tell me again, that this URL doesn't have popups:

explain the cookie, also...

only one popup on that site for me, seems 'about' average for many websites these days...

the cookie is for your chosen language preference, if you scroll down and look to the right you can choose to view the website in various languages, and the cookie saves your chosen language for the next time you visit... although, I changed it to french and nothing happened... doh! I take it you have some sort of "cookie catcher"??

btw, Ritalin Kid & SysRq, your homepage setting in your Techimo profile is wrong (perhaps by choice???)... it's missing an s

also, which method are you using to try to setup php? and what M$ webserver? IIS4/5, or Personal Webserver?

ciao!
