Anyone run an eccomerce site with inventory?

Can someone suggest a good commercial or open source solution for keeping track inventory and financials? I know Quickbooks is the standard but thought maybe there was something that was server based that might work better in this application.

I am interested in this as well. I am about ready to shell out the cash for quickbooks but i have seen many others that are sooo much cheaper, it will be interesting to see what others say.

Do you carry that many products where you need a special program or are you just looking for something different? I know several e-commerce businesses where quickbooks is more than enough.

Currently I have few products but I will have many in the future.

I'd like something that keeps track of inventory, alerts me when something is low on stock, and can report on sales statistics. Bonus would be if the inventory management system could be tied to the user account DB so that I could keep track of the most frequent shoppers, what they bought, how often etc.
