Ok, I am running 98se..
I am having an odd problem ftping files to my site.
Randomly, it will lock up and stop transferring. I can hit ctrl-alt-del and restart it and continue but I have no clue what is causing it..
Not the ftp program 'cause I've tried three different ones..WSFTP, FTP Explorer and smart ftp...
any thoughts on this??

I use 98se .... (and linux of course) ... and have noticed that after being installed for an extended period...(over 6 months... i can start having strange problems with the os... I usually just reinstall and everything goes okay again.

Might be totally unrelated... But you could try reloading your Dial-Up Networking (Even if you don't use a dial-up) and reload your WinSock2 Reg entries..
(Check out http://www.crown.net/support/FixNoSurf.phtml for how to redo your Winsock reg)

Also, you don't run any form of Firewalls, do you? (BlackIce, ZoneAlarm, ConSEAL, Norton Internet Security, etc)

ugh... I haven't done a reinstall in over 2 years probably.... I don't really wanna do that.....
no one else has some thoughts???
