Question
Odd VB bug

Hi,

I have a somewhat strange problem with one of my forms in a program: none of the buttons work until you've pressed one of them (with no effect); and the first time you press one you don't see that 'press button down' effect either.

There're two MonthView controls on the form; that's the only difference I can see to the rest of the forms in the project which work fine.

Sorry if there's a really obvious solution, but I can't find the answer in any help files.

have you tried installing the visual studio service pack?
(even if you're just running vb, you can install the VS SP to patch it)
this is vb6 I'm assuming?

out of curiosity have you tried removing a control until it all starts working again and then re-add them??

I've seen odd bugs like this in Outlook forms, but not in normal VB...

You were right; according to the knowledge base there really is a bug within the monthview control. I suppose I was too used to making mistakes constantly to imagine it actually wasn't my fault...

Thanks, vass!
