hey, I am no Mirc expert but as far as I know all you have to do is choose a server, and just type #roomname in the text box above all the channel selections on the channel list. As long as everyone else knows the server and channel name they can join whenever they feel the need. The roomname can be anything you want but if someone else has aready used that roomname you'll soon find out
Hope this helps

It wont technically "still be there" in a sense, as it will close when no members are present, all it will take is someone to enter it and it will go again. it just means that the channel operator will be whoever opened the room so there will be a slightly unreliable channel operator system. But to answer your question it will always be available to enter whenever anyone wants too, the creator doesnt have to remain in it.

Registering a channel will vary from network to network... Consult the #help channel of the specific network to learn more...

As stated the commands vary from server to server but hopefully this helps we will create room #csclanrules
Run Mirc
/server dalnet
/join #csclanrules (assuming it doesnt exist you will be the only person in the room and given @ Op status)
/chanserv register #csclanrules password description
where password is the pass you want to have for the ROOM and description can be a short note on the rooms use.
The room will now be registered meaning that it will still be there even if you leave, and no one else can register that room.
As @(OP) you have control over the room and people there.
Full commands can be found at http://docs.dal.net/docs/chanserv.html#1
hope this helps. |
