| Help test my work website I made...
Ok Ive uploaded most of the files. Some are missing here and there but its just about done. Please surf around and let me know of any strange occurances.
I got this wierd thing happening that if you stay to long on one page it kicks you back to the home page. Can someone help me out on whats going on with this.
Thanks

It might, just might help if you put a link or gave us a google search clue.
Anything.

I just noticed Im getting horizontal scroll bars on some pages if not all pages. How should I go about avoiding this. I used a template I created in DreamweaverMX.
What I mean by this is when Im on a page and I open the favorites it makes the page stretch horizontally. How do I avoid this? |

The reason, for example, this happens with the welcome page is because you are defining table widths in the form of a pixel width rather than a percentage of the screen.
You defined the center area as 712 pixels [to fit the black line and welcome gif]. Add the navigation menu to the left of this cell and it will exceed 800 pixels, making the page scroll under screen sizes of 800x600 or smaller.
If you made the cell a dynamic one with a percentage and used a black line alot shorter than 565 pixels it should work fine on this page.
You always need to take into account graphics sizes and how you place them on the page when it comes to the end user's screen sizes.

only thing I noticed was if you left the page sitting on the Line Card page for to long it sent you off to another page by itself.. if u have it set to do this.. u might want to stop that.. it will confuse ppl..
I would say offer a none flash page.. as not everyone has.. or wants to use flash..

Also, your CONTACTS page wont fully load because it cant find a flash file called MICHIGAN.SWF.
I personally am not big on flash if it can be replaced with animated GIFs. You may want to consider limitting the flash since some people may not support it.
NOTE: The reason those pages autodump you into other pages is because of your REFRESH METATAG. Look for the meta tag near the top of your pages with the REFRESH option and remove them. You have a 30 sec time limit on your pages before they drop to the main webpage:
[meta http-equiv="refresh" content="30;URL=http://www.mvfi.com" /]
