Help with log rotation.

I am really struggling with the issue of log rotation. Apparently Apache has a built in utility for this? So all I have to do is run this utility from a scheduler?

Any details on how to do this would be much appreciated.

Yes, the util is called 'rotatelogs'

If you do a ./rotatelogs --help from inside the Apache bin directory, it will tell you exactly what you need to do.

Personally, I'd rather use the distro's pre-existing logrotating facility, but whatever floats your boat.. =] (Or maybe you are running Windows..)

Sorry I got no help to offer, but I just wanted to say I think this message title is hilarious. I pictured some guy standing on a log floating down a river, trying to get the log to rotate.
