shoutcast and webradio legality

ok i thought i was staying up to date on the topic...but apparently i lost contact...what is going on now? are we allowed to play whatever we want? what are the fees? anybody have links? i thought it was still pending up to an hour ago when someone asked me how i was affording it. it is my impression after a little research that we are allowed to play "non-popular" music, like the bands that no one knows like the RIAA doesnt even know exists?

Well, from what I've herd, they lost the case, thus radio company's have to pay all this money. I don't think it's happening or something. Since the case happend awhile ago(atleast a month) I guess it's still here. I've got a link for ya though: http://www.shoutcast.com/waradio.phtml if you have WinAmp3 then you can just search what music you want to listen too, and click the link, and it will auto enqueue into winamp... there are more places to get you'r emusic. My fav station is CroniX Aggression Cronix Aggression just click that if you have winap3(maybe 2, I don't know)
