Complete novice needs advice

Hi,

The title of this thread says it all.

I want to post( on the WWW) if that is the correct term an advertisment that has a button that can be clicked to send me an e mail.

I hope this is not too basic for you guys I just know absolutely nothing about these sort of things.

the HTML is something like...

Do you already have a webpage to modify? Or are you wanting to put a banner on somebody elses page?

I do not have a webpage and don't have a clue about how to go about getting one which is what I think I need.

Well if you are looking to start your own webpage/website, you should take a look at http://www.geocities.com/
They offer free webpages, I think ad supported, but they have easy online tools you can use to create a simple website, also you can enter HTML code directly if you like, so you can insert the above html into the page to post the page to your email.

One thing though .......

Remember your log-in/sign-in/password ..... like in a file in your "My Documents" folder or something.

Why? When you lose interest, and then regain your interest, you'll need to start all over, because you won't have access to edit what you started a long time ago ..... speaking from experience.

Or just keep a secure database with all passwords, that's what I do.
