Assigned ip's in IIS

If I assign the server to respond to internal lan requests only via the assigned IP, there isn't any possibility of it responding to requests from the net, as it would if I assigned it all ip's available, right?

For instance: Internal LAN ip is 192.168.xxx.xxx and Internet IP is 67.65.xxx.xxx. If I assigned it to the Lan IP it would only respond to ip's coming from the Local network.

Well I don't know anything about IIS, but this is perfectly possible in apache through a variety of methods. I would guess that it is also possible in IIS.

If there is a setting to respond only to internal requests, then all outside request should get discarded.
