registration Problem

i need some help. I have a website, i am hosting it myself.

on this site (its for lan parties) i need an area for members to sign up for events. I would like my members to be able to sign up for the event. then be able to see who else is signed up.
the problenm is i dont know what i need to use.

any suggestions?

Do you want it to actively post the names/e-mail addresses of those signing up for your parties?

So when they register for the party, the script will e-mail you a copy of the reg, then update a page that will contain a list of who will be attending what parties?
