Delphi with Access db Master Sources
Hi all
I've got 3 tables, EmployeeMonetary, EmpCode, and Codes table. EM table is 1 to M with EC, and Codes is 1:m with EC, so EC is the bridging table. I want to see all 3 tables displayed as grids, so when I select a Employee code from EM and a Code from Codes, the EC grid should show them both.
I know this is done by setting the MasterSource property of a table, but what seems to be necessary is for EmpCode to have 2 mastersources of EmployeeMonetery and Codes respectively but you can't do that. So how do you link all 3 together?
This is a very simple problem, but I've forgotten how to solve it. Please help. Thanks
Dejan
The only 2 fields in EC are Employeenum and codenum.
PS I've also forgotten the special name that the EmpCode table has, you know the thing you do when you split a M-M relationship into 1-m m-1.
Edit - Just remembered, its called an Association Entity amongst other thingsLast edited by stamenkd; January 25th, 2003 at 04:05 PM.
