I have been trying to set up .htaccess on my computers so I can use it for password protecting pages. I have gotten the box to come up asking me for the user name and password. I keep entering it in and it won't let me access the foler. I have checked everything and tried everything that I could think of. Maybe I don't have something setup right in the Apache config file?
All I have done was enable .htaccess or for an example:
#AllowOverride controls what directives may #be placed in .htaccess files.
# It can be "All", "None", or any combination of the keywords:
# Options FileInfo AuthConfig Limit
#
AllowOverride all
Any suggestions??? Thanx.

Well, I change to M$ IIS and got rid of Apache. Now .htaccess doesn't work, period. So does anyone know how to enable .htaccess in IIS???

Oh, that sucks. I want to block IP addresses and the thing to block them is grayed out.  Any ideas??? | |
