I have been trying to get to my website and I can't get to it. I had it all set up and working fine then all of a sudden it just stopped working. I reinstalled Windows and that still didn't solve the problem. I have tried almost everything that I can think of. So do any of you guys have any ideas???? I am using IIS 5.1. Also, before I formatted I couldn't get to it using IIS 5.1 or Apache 2.0.44. |

Are you sure your ISP is not blocking Port 80 traffic (this is assuming you mean you cant get to your site from outside your own home) If you cant get the site to pull up on the actual server or from a computer on your own network there is a ton of things that can cause this...Such as but not a full listing..
firewall turned on
firewall not correctly removed (ZA is known for this)
IIS incorrectly configured (a ton of settings that can stop you)
ISP blocking ports
I suggest that you do some reading at www.dslwebserver.com in their step by step guides and I would bet you can get things working.
If you really get stumped I would be willing to Remote Admin your box and check your setup (PM me if you want this done) |

Now this is strange!!!! I didn't do anything to my server but, it just started working. It's crazy!!!! It seems like my web pages load faster, too. Maybe it is because my ISP has been having problems? I dunno. All I care is that is back up and running. |

Well, I got a new router today because I was tired of reseting my old router. I had to reset like every 2 days because it kept losing the connection. It got on my nerves so I went to Office Max and got a new Belkin router for $30. It works better than the other router. Now my site doesn't work and I have changed the IP in IIS and on zoneedit.com (my DNS people) because I have a dynamic IP. I only lost it because I unhooked the other router. So I am lost again with my site. |

Well I do have a life outside of here and Snowmobiling comes first on my personal time The bigest reason your having problems is due to you having a dynamic IP and I would bet your hard setting your IIS to a set IP. and thus any time your dynamic ip changes your server doesnt answer since it's still listening on the other ip

I know you have a life outside of this. I am just saying that. I used the smile. I don't know if you have e-mail notification or the pop up message when you receive private messages or not. |

Well, I changed the IP address in IIS and on my DNS website. I still can't get to it. |
