HTML, ASP and PDF's.. oh my!

Question,

Can anyone direct me to some asp resoruces? I am trying to help our webmaster here at work, I just had an idea and wanted to see if I could do some work on it. Anyway what we do here at work when we want to ship something is download a Word doc and edit it to what we need then email it to our warehouse guy. Well what I was wondering is if it could be down al online.

You would fill out the forms on the intranet, click submit, then it would create a .doc or .pdf file with all the info you inserted and email it off to the warehouse guy as well as letting you save and print it.

Our webmaster tells me that we use HTML for the forms and then that uses ASP to process scripts on it. As I have basically have no idea what that means, can someone recommend some resources I could check out ? Thanks all!

ASP = active server pages

to process any form input, for example this message that i am typing, some client/server side scripting language is required. ASP is a server side scripting language among many.
