Question
How Do you create a DataBase?

Im trying to learn some new things and figured a linux, apache, MySql was one of the best things to do. Ive messed with linux for a while and apache on windows, Ive got linux+ apache running a few test servers for my network. I dont know if My SQl is working or not, but I would like to create a database of wallpaper pics Ive collected over time.
Is it possable to that?
Im not really even sure what a database is capable of.
Ive seen some examaples of making a data and table just by browser input and Ive heard of using software, If I have to use software I would like it to be free - Windows or Linux.

There's not a whole lot a DB can't do once you get the hang of it

I've never tried it but been meaning to, here is an app that may help you out with MySQL

http://www.webattack.com/get/webdatapro.shtml

I can't help much with MySQL right now, but with typical DB related stuff I maybe able to help including some SQL

There are also a lot of SQL tutorials online, I'd suggest trying some of them out

Good luck!
Yes you should be able to create a DB of your wallpapers, although will require some thought on your side to create the DB initially... depending on how you set it up of course!

If you have MySQL installed, you should try PHPMyAdmin:
http://www.phpwizard.net/projects/phpMyAdmin/

It will let you create databases, tables, and edit data within tables.

Hmm... Looks like I might need to know something about MySQL statements or something to do this.
Well thanks anyway. I guess Html works just fine.
